We work with our suppliers to make sure we offer a wide variety of high quality products that support our Every Day Low Price program. Reward cards, double coupons, gas discounts and other gimmicks are very expensive programs, usually paid for by charging higher prices on the items throughout the store that are not on special. We don’t think it’s fair to ask customers to choose between having a card or paying higher overall grocery prices.

We believe everyone - from the occasional shopper to our most loyal customer - deserves to get the same great value. So while many retailers expect their customers to carry "loyalty" cards, our commitment is to offer ALL of our customers consistently low prices, as well as great product quality, variety and customer service.

Hannaford Gift Cards can be purchased at any Hannaford store, and all independently owned stores that we distribute products to. Cash, Check, PIN Debit, Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover cards are accepted forms of payment when purchasing gift cards in store.

Most Hannaford Supermarkets now have the Redbox Video rental machines. Redbox Video Rentals offers the current Top 50 new DVD releases/titles for $1.00 per night. Each Redbox unit holds 500 disks and includes a touch screen so customers can pick a movie, and a credit-card reader for paying the $1-a-night fee. The Redbox machines do not accept cash. Credit cards are the only accepted means of payment. Customers return the movies at any Redbox location. Customers’ credit cards are charged $1.00 for each night that the video is out. In some of our stores, we offer in-store movie rentals in conjunction with Redbox. Please call your local Hannaford store to inquire about this service.

Most Hannaford Supermarkets, within states that have a bottle deposit bill, have bottle redemption services. Most of these stores allow our customers to use self-service machines and have a traditional bottle window staffed by Hannaford associates. Other Hannaford locations use the following services:

Clynk: Hannaford offers an innovative bottle redemption program in some of its Maine stores called the "Clynk Drop & Go" system. The program operates inside the Hannaford location, with the exception of Scarborough, which has a center in the parking lot. The operation is set up and managed by Clynk - a Maine based company that has developed the technology behind an innovative redemption service called Drop & Go. Greenback: A few of our New York Hannaford Supermarkets and Tomra have teamed up to offer you a better way to redeem your used beverage containers. It’s called the GreenBack Redemption Center. The GreenBack Redemption Center makes returning your cans and bottles quick and easy by offering a drop-off service as an alternative to using the machines or waiting at the bottle window.
