Ingredients

6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/4"-thick wedges
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. plus 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup rolled oats
8 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Apple-Pecan Crisp

Directions

1. Center a rack in oven and heat to 350 degrees. Grease an 8" square baking dish and place on a baking sheet; set aside.
2. Combine apples, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, two tablespoons flour, the granulated sugar, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a large bowl and stir until apples are evenly coated. Transfer to prepared baking dish, then press apples into an even layer, leaving as little space between them as possible.
3. For the crumb topping: Combine remaining 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup flour, the pecans, oats, remaining 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in now-empty bowl. Add butter and stir until mixture is moist and clumps form. Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over apple mixture.
4. Transfer baking sheet to oven and bake until apples are tender and juices are bubbling around edges, 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool 25 minutes, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
