Ingredients

Find nori (sheets of dried, pressed seaweed) in the international aisle.
2 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
1/2 cup crumbled nori (about 3 sheets)
2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Salt
Sesame-Nori Popcorn

Directions

1. Combine sesame oil and melted butter in a small bowl; set aside.
2. Combine vegetable oil and two popcorn kernels in a large pot fitted with a lid. Cover and heat over medium-high heat until you hear both kernels pop, then remove pot from burner.
3. Add remaining kernels, cover, and carefully shake pot to ensure kernels are evenly distributed. Return to medium-high heat and cook, shaking pot occasionally, until only a few seconds pass between pops, about 2 minutes. (If you smell smoke, reduce heat to medium.)
4. Transfer popcorn to a baking sheet and drizzle with butter mixture. Toss well, then sprinkle with nori and sesame seeds; season with salt to taste.
