Asparagus and Gruyere Quiche

Ingredients

1 Hannaford Deep Dish Pie Shell
1 cup chopped asparagus
4 large eggs
1 1/4 cups whole milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
3/4 cup caramelized onions
Asparagus and Gruyere Quiche

Directions

1. Center a rack in oven and heat to 375 degrees. Place pie shell on a baking sheet and let thaw 15 minutes at room temperature. Bake 10 minutes, then let cool slightly.
2. Meanwhile, saute asparagus until softened and let cool. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until blended, then stir in asparagus, cheese, and onions and pour into parbaked crust.
3. Return to oven and bake until center is just set, 30 to 40 minutes. Let cool at least 15 minutes before slicing.
