Falafel is a much-loved part of Middle Eastern cuisine and is the go-to street food throughout the region. This recipe is inspired by uncle's delicious falafel and is just as I remember it as a child from visiting his street cafe. Sam Jacobi-Founder. Falafel is a popular vegetarian food in the Middle East. Made with ground chickpeas, herbs and spices, it can be enjoyed as a snack on its own, as part of a mezze [appetizer] platter or part of a main meal in a wrap or on a salad. No artificial flavors. Directions
Just add water to unlock middle eastern flavours. Cooking instructions: 1. Add 2/3 cups of cold water to the mixture in a bowl. Combine well and leave to stand for 3-4 mins. 2. Shape the mixture using a spoon into 12 golf ball sized balls. 3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 mins or airfry at 375 degrees F for 15 mins flip once, or fry in hot oil for 3 mins, turning every 20 secs until golden brown. 4. Serve warm as a snack, in a salad, or in a wrap! Store in a cool, dry place. Best by: See base of carton.
