Cooking Directions on the Stove: 1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.* 2. Stir in rice.** 3. 15 min. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed. * Cooking Measurement Chart: For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water. Rice: 1 cup; Water: 1-1/2 cups; Makes: 3 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 4. Rice: 2 cups; Water: 3 cups; Makes: 6 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 8. Rice: 3 cups; Water: 4-1/2 cups; Makes: 9 cups; Servings (3/4 Cup Cooked): 12. ** Add 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. Cooking Directions in the Microwave***: 1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1-3/4 cups water and 1 cup rice.** 2. 10 min. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power; microwave for 10 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. ** Add 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. *** It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time.
