Colavita® Instant Polenta Cornmeal. Gluten free. 5 min. Net wt 16 oz (1 lb) (454g). A traditional northern Italian meal. Polenta can be served in many ways. For an easy meal, try serving it topped with your favorite sauce, stews, grilled meats, or serve with fresh cheeses like gorgonzola or grated parmesan. For a lighter meal, cool the polenta in a pan until firm, then slice the polenta and grill or fry it. Directions
Cooking instructions: Basic: bring 4 cups of water (1 quart) to a boil. Add salt to taste (approx. 1 tsp). Slowly add 1 cup of polenta while whisking with a fork as it enters the water to prevent clumping. Reduce heat, and continue stirring for approx. 5 minutes, or until desired consistency. Makes 6 side servings. For 1 or 2 servings: follow the above using 4 tbs polenta, 1 cup of water, and salt to taste (1/2 tsp). Store in a cool, dry place.
