The paper-making process is driven by wind energy & hydropower, using 47% less water, and generating about half the carbon footprint of standard copy paper (Elementree is made with a minimum of 85% post-industrial sawmill waste chips. Up to 75% of the paper making process is driven by wind energy, hydropower and biomass). Wondering how we made such an affordable eco-friendly paper? Because the paper-making process uses all of the wood material, it yields fifty percent more paper from the same amount of wood as compared to standard copy paper. This also means that Elementree paper contains more organic material which lends to a more natural shade (When exposed to light, the paper will gradually shift to an off-white color - a process known as reversion) (similar to paperback books) that is easier on the eyes. The paper is much thicker than standard copy paper which makes it perfect for heavy ink coverage and two-sided printing. Suitable for laser and inkjet printers and copiers.
