Our Bourbon Barrel Reserve Fourteen. After 14 years in ex-bourbon casks, a rich indulgent sweetness. Then a vivid and vibrant punch of vanilla from its new oak barrel finish. - Malt Master Brian Kinsman. Master Brian Kinsman. Hand built by William Grant & Family. From the valley of the deer. Our Bourbon Barrel Reserve Fourteen: 14 year old is our first whisky matured in two types of American oak barrel. The ex-bourbon casks are the bedrock, giving an indulgent richness and sweetness after 14 years. Then we shake it awake in deep-charred new oak barrels for a vivid and vibrant punch of vanilla. Valley of the Deer: Glenfiddich means Valley of the Deer in Gaelic; a Scottish valley perfect for making malts. Robbie Dhu spring water flows here, adding freshness, the backbone of our whisky. The cool microclimate ages our malts slower, bringing depth and smoothness. Skillfully crafted, drink responsibly. Proudly independent. We are family-owned and run, five generations and counting. Family is personal and powerful; an independence that lets us set our own standards and write our own rules. Our founding family defied doubters in 1887. We're still proudly forging our own path today. Independent family - run distillers since 1887.
