Beef Stew: Serves 8; Time: 2 hours cook. ingredients: 2 lbs; beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes, 1/4 cup flour, 2 tbsp; Vegetable oil, 1 pkg; Hannaford beef stew seasoning mix ,3 cups; water, 5 cups; fresh cut vegetables (potatoes. Carrots. Celery and onions). Directions: Coat beef with flour cook in hot oil in large saucepan or dutch oven over medium heat old browned. Stir in seasoning mix and water bring to a boil. Reduce heat: cover and simmer 1 hour. Stirring occasionally add vegetables; Cover and simmer 45 minutes longer or until beef and vegetables are tender stir occasionally.
