Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Preparation: 1. Remove roast from bag, pat dry with a paper towel, and season as desired. Oven: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. On the stove top, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in an oven safe pan over medium-high; brown roast on all sides. 3. Remove from stove top and add 2 cups of water or broth to pan. 4. Place roast fat side up in pan and cover with foil. Place in oven and cook approximately 30 minutes per round or until internal temperature reaches 200 degrees F Slow Cooker: 1. Place roast in slow cooker; add 2 cups of water or broth. 2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until temperature reaches 200 degrees F. Grill / Smoker: 1. Preheat one side of grill to high (500 degrees F). 2. Place roast over direct heat and cook until grill marks are obtained on all sides. 3. Reduce grill temperature to medium (350 degrees F). 4. Move roast to indirect heat. Cook approximately 30 minutes per pound or until internal temperature reaches 200 degrees F. To help maintain juiciness, wrap roast in foil. 5. Remove from foil and grill for an additional 5 to 10 minutes to allow exterior to crisp. Great for pulled pork. Keep refrigerated.
