Hannaford Names Brad Wise President
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Hannaford Supermarkets announced today that Brad Wise will serve as its new president.
The announcement is part of a new leadership structure announced by Delhaize America Chief Executive Officer Roland Smith. With the changes, Beth Newlands Campbell, formerly president of Hannaford, will become the president of Food Lion, based in Salisbury, N.C. Both Hannaford and Food Lion are part of the Delhaize America organization.
In addition to Hannaford, Wise will have responsibility for leading Sweetbay Supermarkets, also part of Delhaize America and based in Tampa, Fla.
Wise began his career in 1985 as a Retail Management Trainee for Hannaford. He has a deep background in leading teams and developing great supermarket shopping experiences for customers. He is a former store manager and former vice president of Retail Operations for Hannaford’s Eastern Region, among other roles. He has worked most recently as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Delhaize America.
Wise holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Maine. He lives in Gorham, Maine.
