Hannaford to host Grand Opening event in Bristol
Bristol, NH -- Hannaford Supermarkets will host a celebration of its newest store with a community barbeque and ribbon cutting to be held on Saturday, May 7. Hannaford also will be presenting donations to several community groups that day.
Hannaford recently completed the purchase of the former Bristol Shop 'n Save at 505 Pleasant St. (Route 104) in Bristol. The 20,000-square-foot store is Hannaford's 36th supermarket in New Hampshire.
"We are excited to become part of the Bristol community, with the same great associates that were working at the store previously," said Bristol Store Manager Larry Poliquin, a long-time resident of the Lakes Region. "Hannaford is committed to partnering with local organizations and schools, and to working with local farmers as well, to help the Bristol area thrive."

When: Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Details: Full barbeque lunch, door prizes, raffle, 11 a.m. ribbon cutting, community donations to Newfound Lake Region Association -- $600; The Mahew Program -- $500; The Circle Program -- $500; and Tapply-Thompson Community Center -- $500.
In addition, Hannaford will be donating $5,000 to support the summer Concerts in the Park series this year.
