Concord Hannaford announces recipients of $4k community grants; celebrates expansion of in-store goods and services

 

 

Concord, NH - The Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy in Concord is hosting a month-long grand reopening event from February 7 through March 1 to celebrate new product offerings and the expansion of services after a recent renovation.

 

Aimed at increasing the fresh, convenient options for customers, the renovated supermarket includes an in-store sushi chef, hand-battered fried chicken, in-store prepared sandwiches and salads, and a hot bar with entrée options. Grab and go offerings have been expanded with a variety of fresh meat and seafood options. The store now has a wine department, and an expanded fine cheese assortment provides options from around the world.

 

“We’ve always been dedicated to providing our customers the freshest options, and with our recent remodel we’re pleased to be able to make things a little easier for them as well,” noted Store Manager Michael Capsalis. “With programs like Hannaford To Go, which allows customers to order groceries online and pick up at their local store, or in-store offerings like our fresh cut fruit and veggie “Snack Pals” cups for kids, our customers don’t have to sacrifice quality for convenience.”

 

The Pharmacy now includes a private consultation area for customers to consult with their pharmacist or receive an immunization as well as a new higi machine that offers free health screenings and gives customers the opportunity to connect their own devices to track their personal health stats. A new cafe provides community space for customers and a parking spot for expectant mothers has been added outside the store.

 

In conjunction with the Customer Appreciation Events, the Concord Hannaford will award the recipients of $4,000 in community grants on Friday February 21 at 9AM. Community donations of $1,000 will be awarded to each of the following organizations:

 

• Boys and Girls Club of Central NH

• Friends of Forgotten Children

• Friends of Concord Police K-9

• NH Children’s Trust
