Farmington Hannaford to celebrate grand-reopening event
Improvements to the store have increased variety, improved shopping experience.
FARMINGTON, Maine – The Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy in Farmington is inviting area residents to a grand reopening celebration on Nov. 10, with gift cards being given to the first 300 customers, free food sampling and other activities throughout the day.
Customers will find the supermarket easier to shop, with added variety and a fresh new look. Energy-efficient display cases have been installed throughout the supermarket to increase the environmental sustainability of the store.
The Farmington Hannaford now has a wider variety of products, with the addition of 750 new organic and natural items; expanded produce area; additional varieties of seafood and meat; more fine cheeses and olive choices; and additional gluten- and sugar-free products.
A new shopping cart fleet and improved layout within the store make the supermarket even easier to navigate. Improvements have been made to lighting, décor and landscaping.
“Customers are excited that Hannaford is investing in the community,” said Store Manager Tim Bryant. “The first thing they notice is that the store is brighter and more attractive. If a customer were to walk in now, after being away for a year, they would be amazed at how good the store looks.”

Details: The first 300 customers will receive a gift card randomly valued between $5 and $300. Customers will have the chance to enter a drawing for a $500 gift card and other valuable prizes. Food sampling throughout the store, radio remote, prizes. A donation of $3,000 in food staples has been made to the Care and Share Food Closet in celebration of the grand reopening.
