Celebration planned for Norwell Hannaford
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Shoppers at the Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy in Norwell, Mass. will celebrate the store’s grand reopening on March 31 and April 1, with door prizes, food sampling and the chance to win a year’s worth of groceries.
Customers will find many more natural and organic items at the supermarket, new energy-efficient equipment, updated décor and improvements across the store, in areas like the Deli, Meat and Bakery departments.
“These changes have been made with shoppers in mind,” said Store Manager Stephen Beane. “Attention to detail, like providing additional privacy at the Pharmacy and making the Produce department easier to navigate, will make a big difference for shoppers.”

When: Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1, 2012, starting 7 a.m. each day
Where: Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy, 10 Washington St., Queen Anne Plaza, Norwell
Highlights: On Saturday, the first 300 customers will receive a gift card randomly valued between $5 and $250 and a free shopping organizer. Shoppers throughout the day will be entered into a sweepstakes to win free groceries; enjoy product sampling; and have a chance to win gift cards. On Sunday, free brownie mix and measuring cups will be given to the first 200 customers.
“The entire store has a fresh, new look that adds to the shopping experience,” Beane said. “We’re excited to be sharing these changes with customers at the grand reopening.”
