Exeter Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy to host grand opening celebration
Exeter, NEW HAMPSHIRE – The Exeter community will be invited to celebrate the opening of its new Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy on March 8, with food sampling, door prizes, nutrition-focused store tours and other activities.
In conjunction with the grand opening, Hannaford is donating $2,500 to the St. Vincent de Paul Community Assistance Center, and an additional $2,500 to the Chamber Children’s Fund.
“I am excited to be part of bringing Hannaford to Exeter,” said Bill McGlincey, store manager. “As a team, we are committed to not only meet but to exceed our customers’ expectations. Our associates, on-site registered dietician, full-service Pharmacy and product offerings will provide a great shopping experience.”

On March 8, customers can meet the store’s professional pharmacists, talk with its registered dietician, Heidi Kerman, and explore all that the store has to offer.

Highlights: The first 300 customers will receive a gift card randomly valued between $5 and $250; food sampling throughout the day; healthy shopping tours at 10 a.m. and noon.

The new supermarket and full-service pharmacy is 65,000 square feet, in a completely remodeled space that offers a convenient, pleasant shopping experience. The Exeter Hannaford provides customers with a full-service butcher shop and seafood counter, as well as bakery, deli, fresh produce and grocery departments. The supermarket has an extensive selection of natural, organic and gluten-free items.
Customers also will have access to a pharmacy consultation room for those who need extra privacy when talking with a pharmacist or want a flu shot. The store’s registered dietician will provide free nutrition advice, store tours and classes to the Exeter community.
The Exeter Hannaford will employ about 150 full- and part-time associates, and will be Hannaford’s 34th supermarket in New Hampshire.
