FORBES RECOGNIZES HANNAFORD AS “BEST EMPLOYER”
Ranked #1 in Maine and #5 in New Hampshire by associates and community members

 

Scarborough, ME—Forbes recently ranked Hannaford Supermarkets in the number one slot as Maine’s “Best Employer” according to their first ever ranking of “America’s Best Employers by State.” Hannaford also ranked fifth among all of New Hampshire’s employers.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to survey more than 80,000 full and part time employees working for companies that employed at least 500 people. According to Forbes, the survey respondents rated their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family and also evaluated other employers in their industry and geographic region.

 

Hannaford is the only grocery retailer in Maine or New Hampshire to earn the distinction of a ranking on the Forbes “best” list. Hannaford was one of only 313 companies nationwide to earn a top rating in more than one state.  

 

Hannaford employs nearly 10,000 associates in Maine and nearly 4,000 associates in New Hampshire.
