Scarborough, ME – Four area Hannaford Supermarkets and Pharmacies are hosting Grand Reopening events beginning on Friday, April 12 through Sunday, May 5 to celebrate the completion of renovation projects that added fresh and convenient variety and brought many new services and items to the greater Portland area.
Renovated stores include Hannaford Riverside (Portland), Westbrook, Gorham, and Falmouth.
Aimed at providing fresh and convenient options for customers who are busy, the stores have expanded their in-store Kitchens. Key among its offerings include an in-store sushi chef, hand-battered fried chicken, in-store prepared sandwiches and salads, and a hot bar with entrée options. The Falmouth and Westbrook stores have also added a stir-fry bar. The supermarkets have expanded its convenience, with many new offerings such as a “pick your own 6-pack” of beer section, freshly cut grab and go seafood, and freshly sliced grab and go deli offerings.
Aimed at providing fresh and convenient options for customers who are busy, the stores have expanded their in-store Kitchens. All four stores have been updated throughout and have a fresh new looks. Fresh food is highlighted in the new design, and the expanded Produce Department now has the abundant feel of a green grocery store within the supermarket.
With the completion of the remodels, all four stores now have Hannaford to Go, a service that allows customers to order groceries online and pick up their order at the store. Nearly every item in the store is available for purchase through Hannaford To Go, and store associates personally select each item for individual customer orders.

Additionally, the Pharmacies of all four stores have been expanded so that customers will have access to a private consultation room to speak privately with their pharmacist or receive an immunization.
Also among the key amenities are expanded self-check out registers.

In conjunction with the Customer Appreciation Events, each store will be will be announcing the recipients of a community donations in the coming weeks.
