Two local Hannaford stores to host celebrations
Company's investment in Vermont brings new products and services to Essex Junction and Williston supermarkets
Burlington, Vermont – The Hannaford stores in Essex Junction and Williston will host Grand Reopening events on Saturday, Aug. 12 to celebrate the completion of renovation projects that added variety and brought many new services to each supermarket.
In Essex Junction, a 12,000-square-foot store expansion created room for hundreds of new products, including more than 850 additional organic and natural items. The store also has added a 40-seat Hannaford Kitchen & Café, where customers can order fresh-made stir-fry, burritos, pizza and other meal options to eat at the store or take home.
The renovated supermarket makes shopping even more convenient for customers, with the addition of a pharmacy drive-through and Hannaford To Go, a service that allows customers to order groceries online and pick up their order at the store. Nearly every item in the store is available for purchase through Hannaford To Go, and store associates personally select each item for individual customer orders.
In Williston, the store has an expanded variety of products as well, with many new items, including hundreds of additional organic and natural offerings. There also are many more dairy, frozen and grocery offerings. Customers who are in a hurry now have access to signature sandwiches, made-to-order stir fry, fresh burritos, in-store produced sushi and other great prepared meal options. Hannaford To Go also is available in Williston.
Both stores have been updated throughout and have fresh, new looks.
"The investment we are making in Greater Burlington is part of Hannaford's commitment to Vermont and to creating an even better shopping experience," said Vermont Director of Operations Samara Bushey. "We are proud to bring innovative programs and an expanded variety of products to our customers."
