Supermarket will offer wide variety of affordable products, with an emphasis on local, natural and organic items throughout the store

 

The West Hurley Hannaford Supermarket will begin welcoming customers to their new store on Wednesday, Aug. 30 and hold a Grand Opening celebration for the community on Saturday, Sept. 2.

 

The 26,000-square-foot Hannaford will offer a wide selection of grocery and fresh items, including an extensive variety of meats that can be cut to order; hundreds of organic and natural items; and premium-quality Taste of Inspiration deli meats and cheeses at an affordable price.

 

"Hannaford is excited to join the West Hurley community," said Store Manager Debbie Allison. "At our store, customers will find great food, everyday low prices and the service that people expect from Hannaford.  We also intend to be a community resource, a spot where customers run into friends and neighbors."

When: Saturday, Sept. 2, starting at 6:30 a.m. (ribbon cutting)
Where: 295 State Route 375 West Hurley, NY
Details: First 200 customers will receive gift cards randomly valued between $5 and $250; product sampling from local vendors; door prizes; sweepstakes; and other activities

 

In conjunction with the Grand Opening event, Hannaford will present $10,000 in donations to the community -- $5,000 to both the Onteora Central School District and the Good Neighbor Food Pantry.

 

West Hurley will be Hannaford's 50th store in New York.
