Hannaford Supermarkets names Patrick Doak as Store Manager of the Year

 

Doak recognized for outstanding leadership as manager of the Blue Hill store

 

BLUE HILL, Maine– Hannaford Supermarkets recently honored Patrick Doak as its Store Manager of the Year. Doak, who is the store manager of the Hannaford at 15 South Street in Blue Hill, was selected as overall Store Manager of the Year from 187 Hannaford stores throughout New England and New York.

 

Doak has nearly 30 years of experience in retail, including six years with Hannaford. He played a pivotal role in the opening of the Blue Hill store in May 2023 and led his team through a successful inaugural summer season under the Hannaford banner. Prior to taking the helm of the Blue Hill store, Doak served as store manager of Hannaford locations in Bucksport and Bar Harbor.

In receiving the award, Doak was noted for his exceptional leadership skills, outstanding customer-focused approach, thoughtful associate engagement, team-centric approach, community support and consistent track record of delivering the best possible experience for his associates and customers.

Each Hannaford Store Manager of the Year is recognized for their stand-out leadership and communication skills; work to motivate others and implement key change initiatives; ability to create a safe and open environment for associates and customers; and ability to provide effective two-way feedback, tools, and learning opportunities to ensure associate growth and development.
