Damariscotta, Maine – In an abundance of caution, the Hannaford store at 469 Main Street in Damariscotta is recalling Hannaford brand 81 percent ground beef purchased at the store on Sunday, December 3 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. with a sell-by date of December 5 because the item(s) may contain foreign material. Customers should check their storage and freezer areas for this product and not eat the product. Product or its packaging may be returned to the store for a full refund.

 

This is a single-store advisory and applies to the Damariscottastore only. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
