"Everything Bagel" Tomato Tart
Ingredients
Inspired by your favorite breakfast bagel, this tasty tart uses peak-season summer tomatoes. Store-bought pie crust helps get this tart on the table in 30 minutes.
2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
1 Tbsp. white or black sesame seeds
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
1/4 tsp. coarse sea salt
1/4 tsp. coarse ground black pepper
1 (8-oz.) package garlic & herb goat cheese, softened
1/2 (15-oz.) package refrigerated rolled pie crust, room temperature
2 medium tomatoes
1 egg yolk

directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, combine minced onion, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sea salt and pepper. Set aside 1 tablespoon of mixture. To remaining sesame seed mixture, add goat cheese and stir until combined.
On a lined baking sheet, unroll pie crust. Spread goat cheese mixture onto crust, leaving a 1" border.3. Thinly slice tomatoes. Arrange tomatoes over cheese. In small bowl, beat egg yolk.
Gently fold edges of crust up and over the tomatoes. Brush edges of crust with egg yolk and sprinkle with reserved sesame seed mixture. Bake until bottom and edges are golden brown, 20 minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
