1. In a small bowl, mix together sliced strawberries and raspberry syrup. Set aside.
2. In a second small bowl, mash banana with a fork. Mix in peanut butter. Spread mixture onto 4 slices of bread. Top each with a second slice of bread to make 4 sandwiches.
3. In a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, lightly whisk together egg, egg whites, milk, salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Place sandwiches in egg mixture and let soak about 3 minutes, then flip sandwiches over until egg mixture is absorbed, another 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Alternately, melt on a heated griddle. Cook bread in hot pan until cooked through and browned, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Serve immediately, topped with reserved strawberries, plus additional raspberry syrup, if desired.
What Kids Can Do: Mash fruit with peanut butter. Spread peanut butter mixture on bread. Beat egg mixture.
