1. Heat oven to 425 degrees with a rack in middle position. Line a baking sheet with foil and coat lightly with cooking spray.
2. In a small bowl, stir together syrup and oil; set aside. In a separate small bowl, stir together seasoning and chili powder. Brush salmon all over with oil mixture, then sprinkle evenly with seasoning. Arrange fillets on prepared baking sheet.
3. Bake until salmon is cooked through and coating is sizzling, 15 to 20 minutes.
